I got a message from a friend who I got to do her daughter's Senior pictures at the end of last year & now, her youngest girls, they were going to turn 10 years old. Double digits. The funny thing, I never even knew it, but they're twins. I had thought they were just close in age. What's it called? Irish Twins or something like that? :)
Well twins they are & they remind me so much of my own twin nieces. Totally opposite in every way. One being curly hair, glitter, make up & all things girl. The other who is a tom boy, ready to rough you up & one who would scream if you made her put on a dress. (Check all that for my own twin nieces)
I got over to their home & they were all prepared for a quick session, complete with hay bales set up & horses ready to jump in the shot. I loved it.
I just love talking to kids. They're so honest. And these little girls are so cool because they are all about the horses in their family. Most little girls, standing next to some huge horses would be nervous. Not these two. They just wanted to jump on top & sit there. It helps when you have dad near by reminding the horses to behave.
My favorite part of the day was when I was getting ready to leave & Christina asked me for another hug. I had been bugging her earlier by grabbing her & hugging her telling her I can't wait for her to come up to my middle school class so I could hug her all the time. She resisted my hug in a playful way, which made me hug her even more... & when she knocked on my window as I left & asked me for one more hug, well, let's just say I'm an easy crier.
I think I have a pair of new friends.
Happy Birthday you two! Double Digits is a big deal!
Coming soon... teenage years! :)
