This is probably one of my favorite weddings ever.
It was just so laid back & easy going. & everyone was just a joy to work with.
We started at a local beauty salon in a little town square. Conversation revolved around a lot of vacinne talks & other medical terms that I was trying to catch on. That's what happens when the Bride is a nurse & one of her bridesmaids is also a nurse. I was just trying to get the truth about flu shots.
Headed to the church & met up with the guys. I think this was the most laid back groom. How could he not be? He was surrounded by brothers, family & friends that just kept him laughing & at ease. It was hard to get anything BUT a laugh out of them.
Then the magic moment... the Bride getting in her dress. I always love this moment.
Her aunt's reaction
I don't think she realized how hot this room was because she had been in it for so long, but it was stifling hot! Jessica was just as cool as a cumcumber could be. But it was time to get her out of the room & let her & the girls roam around for a bit.
I loved that both the Bride & Groom had charms on their flowers of family members that have passed on... a beautiful tribute to those who are so close to the heart on days like this...
Before the wedding, Brandon had a letter he wanted his soon to be wife to read. Who knows what those words were, but you can tell from the emotion that it was straight to the heart.
Time for the big show...
I loved that Jessica walked down barefoot & her heels were at the alter. Brandon helped her into her shoes when she arrived... it was like a story book...
Jessica has asked if I could do the 'rear view' kiss picture. I was a nervous wreck because I had to hide a step ladder & sneak up right when the pastor was getting ready to announce them husband & wife. All I kept thinking was "Please Lord, don't let me fall off the ladder in front of the whole church"... I didnt... & it worked. This is my favorite wedding kiss pic EVER!
It was the most perfect day - blue skies - warm temps - a perfect day for a wedding.
The reception was a family affair & fun & full of laughter.
One of the top moments is when Jessica was able to dance with her Father. There is a history there & her father stayed in the background all day long. But when this dance happened, he beamed... his smile struck us all. At one point, my photo assistant had to stop because she was crying so hard. I honestly don't think there was a dry eye in the room.
I really hated leaving at the end of the night. This family was incredible. When we were packing up, the Groom's grandmother even came up to us to hug us & we said, "Bye Grandma"... she said, "you can call me grandma anytime you want"
(Funny note - we saw her at another wedding 2 weeks later... we yelled "GRANDMA" & she just hugged us all over again! That's how you know you fall in love with the family)
This is a couple with a strong faith & belief in God & I know God is going to bless them in every way possible...
